![]() This car rides incredibly smooth on the highway and has excellent autocross handling. The body was channeled for an aggressive low ride height while maintaining full suspension travel. The Firebird is also outfitted with Prodigy Bar triangulated four-link rear suspension and a 0.625-inch rear sway bar. An Air Ride Technology Shockwave 3.0/Airpod system was also installed to replace the Firebirds original coils and shocks. These upgrades include a Speedtech subframe with rack-and-pinion steering, tubular upper and lower control arms, and a NASCAR-style splined 1.25-inch sway bar that is tied to the body with Detroit Speed and Engineering subframe connectors. The best components money could buy were combined to create the best possible handling and ride. The transmission is a Tremec TKO-600 5-speed manual and the rear end is a 3.73 Moser 12-bolt. Custom Hogan's Sheetmetal intake, dual 70mm throttle bodies and a nitrous fogger system that is plumbed but not active. Pro-stock style raised port heads built to 535cid. A 525ci Aluminum Block from “Butler Performance” featuring a 4.310-inch bore a SCAT 4340 4.500-inch stroke forged crank Manley 6.700-inch 4340-steel H-beam rods and Ross forged, "Butler-design," dished pistons to provide a 10.9:1 compression ratio. Powering this over the top Firebird is the Holy Grail of Pontiac engines. Accomplishments include 2007 SEMA Top 10 Muscle Cars of SEMA, two appearances at the Performance Racing Show, invited by Goodguys to compete for Street Machine of the Year and "High Performance Pontiac" 7-page feature/cover.
